Today the world we are leaving in is full of images of perfect women as portrayed by the magazines. Daily we are bombarded with images of skinny or perfect women. This leaves us with insecure feelings about our own image.

Take for example at the red carpet, we see all these celebrities with perfect bodies even after giving birth.

This leaves many of us with a million questions of what is it that we not doing.

Here are a few tips that may be of help.

Firstly, you have to accept the body you have and purpose to make a change. This is because change starts in the mind. Written down a list of healthy foods that you will get from the store and stick to the list. Did you know it is better to do your shopping on a full stomach than when hunger pangs are biting, this is because it eliminates impulse shopping or even buying junk foods.

Also before eating, say half an hour before eating take a glass of water, this tricks your stomach that you’ve eaten and hence avoid over eating. Something else is to try and eat your meals at least four hours before going to bed and do avoid foods with high carbs or fizzy drinks. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables as they are rich in vitamins and minerals that help you feel healthy and energized.

Incorporate exercise in your daily routine whether at home or at work. For example you can take the stairs instead of the elevator, use your office chair to do simple stretches or walk your dog instead of paying someone else to do so.

You can also identify a sport you enjoy for instance swimming and have fun while losing weigh.

Finally avoid taking fizzy drinks as they contain too much sugar which does not help your body.
