Do you often eat excessively, because you feel like munching something? Do you find it difficult to stop this uncontrollable eating? Well then you may have a problem called Binge Eating. This eating disorder is a condition that deals with the consumption of excessive amounts of food in a short time. You may not feel like stopping even though you are filled to the brim. This condition is mainly observed in obese and depressed people, for whom food is more like a comfort zone.  
Eating more than needed leaves you feeling embarrassed and helpless, as you feel you cannot control this habit. Trying out crash diets to fight this condition works against the health of the person. So how does one put an end to this eating disorder?

One of the most important thing to remember in these cases is that, this disorder is not about the food, but has to do with the feelings of the person suffering with Binge Eating. Such people need more emotional support in addition to medical help.

Since Binge eating leaves you feeling guilty and depressed, it is noticed that encouragement is one of the steps to help someone with this disorder. Being more understanding of a person’s feelings instead of being judgmental, is a great way to help a patient fight this condition. Recognizing the problem and resorting to medical help works towards a speedy recovery.
